Turning around a real estate fund management platform
Verifort Capital is the new name of fairvesta, the real estate fund manager with a client base of around 18,000 individual investors. The company is based in Tübingen, southwest Germany, and manages 12 funds with a combined portfolio of around 100 properties valued at around €800 million.
Fund V acquired the company from the founding family with a view to improving fund performance, operational efficiency and customer service. ASG’s strategy also aims to broaden the product range and grow Verifort’s assets under management.
The investment by Fund V is another example of ASG taking the corporate acquisitions route to gain exposure to Germany’s real estate market while avoiding the high prices of acquiring property assets directly.
