Strategy
In September 2025, ActivumSG launched a UK-focused purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) platform targeting more than £500m in GAV.
Seeded with an initial portfolio of seven assets comprising 972 beds, generating c.90% of its income from Russell Group universities located in Manchester, Edinburgh, Exeter, and Cardiff, the platform will look to acquire and upgrade existing stock to be aligned with best-in-class building safety standards and sustainability regulations.
Alongside UK student accommodation operator, The Mansion Group Holdings (TMGH), the platform has been established to buy, modernise and aggregate existing PBSA, to be in line with best-in-class building safety standards and sustainability regulations. TMGH has over 17 years’ operational experience in the sector and has acquired more than 11,000 beds with a number of global capital partners, including leading pension and private equity funds.
The platform will seek to capitalise on the PBSA sector’s structural growth drivers, as unmet student demand for high-quality accommodation is set against challenges related to viability and planning, placing limits on new development.
